This is why it is important to check and eliminate these possible causes of turbocharger damage before installing a remanufactured turbocharger, to prevent re-damaging the newly installed part. Turbochargers are highly reliable, less than 1% of turbochargers fail due to a defect in the turbocharger itself.
Preliminary evaluation of the technical condition of the turbocharger, which includes checking individual mechanical components and the presence of oil on the intake and exhaust side of the turbocharger. The next step is to check the balance of the rotary part of the turbocharger and the functionality of the filling pressure regulation (mechanical and electronic).
Disassembly of the turbocharger and assessment of the condition of the damaged parts, in case of their incapacity, replacement with new original parts. We thoroughly sandblast the original fully functional components.
Dynamic balancing of the rotary system of the turbocharger (axial and radial clearance) and checking the centre for tightness to prevent oil leakage. The whole process on an authorized Shneck station, which simulates the conditions in an internal combustion engine. All values are set according to the manufacturer and meet their standards. The result of the dynamic testing is a calibration report, which proves its 100% functionality.
The last phase is the completion of the entire turbocharger and and setting of the vacuum or electronic regulation.
We will provide you with a general assembly procedure as part of the package for FREE to help you avoid damaging your remanufactured turbocharger again. The costumer will receive a 12 month warranty on the whole product, not only on the the item which was reconditioned.
